FAQ
Your questions
Clear answers before your visit. If something isn't covered here, call or send a message.
Getting started
That depends on your anatomy, your goals and what is realistic for your face rather than on a trend. Most clients start with a consultation so the plan can be built around a full-face assessment instead of one feature. If a treatment is not right for you, you will be told so honestly.
Your visit begins with a conversation about your goals, a review of your medical history and a facial assessment. You will then receive a clear plan and a quote before anything is injected. Treatment only goes ahead once you understand the plan and consent to it.
A consultation is included at the start of every appointment, so a separate visit is not usually required. Some services are consultation-only and are quoted after an in-person assessment, because dosing depends on what is already present.
You must be 18 or older to be treated here. Beyond that there is no upper limit — suitability is based on your health, your skin and your goals, not your age.
Treatments
Neurotoxin such as Botox relaxes specific muscles, so it softens lines caused by movement. Dermal filler adds volume and support, so it restores or refines shape. Many plans use a small amount of each, because they solve different problems.
Most clients describe it as very manageable. Fine needles, a gentle technique and numbing where appropriate keep discomfort low, and you can ask to pause at any point.
Filler is visible immediately, then settles over about two weeks as swelling resolves, and typically lasts nine to eighteen months depending on the area and product. Neurotoxin begins working within a few days, settles by ten to fourteen days, and usually lasts three to four months. Regenerative treatments build gradually over a course of sessions.
No. Dosing here is conservative and anatomy-led, with movement and expression deliberately preserved. If you want more, it is safer to add at your two-week review than to overtreat on the day.
Neurotoxin has essentially no downtime. Filler can cause swelling and occasional bruising for three to seven days, and resurfacing or regenerative treatments can leave redness for one to three days. Bruising is possible with any injection, so plan around important events.
Safety & suitability
No. Injectable and regenerative treatments are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding. You are welcome to return once you and your prescriber agree it is appropriate.
Please disclose all medications and supplements, blood thinners, autoimmune or neuromuscular conditions, active infections or cold sores, keloid scarring, recent vaccinations, allergies, and any previous filler, neurotoxin or thread work. Also mention planned dental or surgical procedures. Full disclosure is what keeps treatment safe, and it is never a reason for judgement.
Tell us. Hyaluronic acid filler can be adjusted or dissolved with hyaluronidase, and corrective work is planned in person after an assessment. Neurotoxin cannot be reversed, which is exactly why dosing starts conservatively.
Common effects include swelling, tenderness, bruising and temporary asymmetry. Less common risks include infection, lumps, prolonged swelling and, rarely with filler, vascular complications. These are discussed fully before you consent, and clear aftercare and contact instructions are given for every treatment.
Before & after your visit
Where medically appropriate, avoid alcohol for 24 hours and pause blood thinners, fish oil and vitamin E for a few days beforehand to reduce bruising — check with your prescriber first and never stop prescribed medication on your own. Arrive with clean skin, eat beforehand, and let us know if you feel unwell or have an active cold sore.
For 24 to 48 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, heat, saunas, facials and pressure on the treated area, stay upright for four hours after neurotoxin, and keep the skin clean. Gentle ice helps swelling. Written aftercare is provided at every appointment, and you can contact the studio with any concern.
A review is scheduled around two weeks after treatment, once swelling has settled and results are true. Small refinements are best made then. Neurotoxin is typically repeated every three to four months, and filler is reassessed rather than automatically topped up.
Booking, deposits & payment
A deposit reserves your appointment time and is deducted from your treatment total. It is non-refundable. A card processing fee applies to deposits — $1.75 on a $50 deposit and $3.50 on a $100 deposit.
Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice forfeits your deposit. With at least 48 hours' notice your deposit can be transferred to a new date. Training deposits follow the same 48-hour rule.
Please arrive on time; late arrivals may need to be shortened or rebooked so the day stays on schedule. A $50 fee applies to late cancellations and no-shows, in addition to the forfeited deposit.
Instalment options are not offered at the moment. The balance of your treatment is settled at your appointment.
